This page describes the current version of ConfigKit. It does not claim that visiting a website collects nothing.
Configuration you type or paste
Parsing, validation, conversion, and formatting run in your browser. The text in the editors is not posted to an application server, written to local storage or session storage, stored in a cookie, or copied into the URL. It is not sent to Google Analytics. No advertising script is loaded.
What a page request still includes
The site is published at https://configkit.site. Loading a page requests HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and icons from that host. Those requests pass through Cloudflare, which can see ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, and the URL path. They do not include the contents of the editors. This application does not keep a visitor database and does not copy request logs into its own store. Cloudflare and the machine that runs the site may keep their own request logs for as long as those providers keep them. This site does not set a separate retention period.
Fonts and third parties
The interface fonts are delivered with the site. No ads are shown. If an advertising service is added later, this policy has to be updated before that service is enabled.
Google Analytics
Each page loads one Google tag, measurement ID G-5GJN7D0VF8, from www.googletagmanager.com. A page view can send Google the page address, the referring page, and browser and device details. Google may store a cookie to recognize the browser on a later visit. Editor contents are not part of that page view. How long Google keeps this data is set in the Google Analytics property, not by this site.
Accounts and children
There are no accounts and no profiles. The site is a developer utility and is not directed at children.
